In the first lecture, we had an introduction
on electromagnetism (EM). We discussed how this theory in important in the sense
of its relation with special relativity and quantum field theory. Then we
discuss about the concept of the unification and the role of EM. We also discuss
about the EM and optics. The quantization of charge and its conservation is
discussed as well.

In this lecture, we start talking about the concepts in vector calculus. How the scalars, vectors and tensors emerged in physics. The idea of coordinate transformation and definition of scalar, vector and tensor is discussed. The Levi-Cevita symbol is introduced.

In this lecture, we introduce the concept of the metric tensor. In this direction the spherical coordinate is discussed. Finally we talk about the concept of Gradient.
