Hossein Sameti received the Ph.D in electrical engineering from University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Canada, in 1994. In 1995, he joined the Department of Computer Engineering, Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, where he is currently an associate professor. He founded Speech and Language Processing Lab (SLPL) at the department in 1998 and is the supervisor of the Lab. His current research interests include speech processing, automatic speech recognition, speech synthesis, speech enhancement, spoken question-answering systems, spoken language understanding, speaker verification, and spoken term detection.
