Advanced instrumentation (Since 2002)

The aim of creating a structure suitable for design and construction of multidisciplinary systems in the field of nondestructive testing materials was established. So far, the laboratory is equipped with two signal acquisition : a) Ultrasonic flaw detector b) Eddy current flaw detector. Recently a prototype of magnetic flux leakage is developed.

Research on the following directions continues:
Application of signal processing in Nondestructive Testing of Material (Since 2006)

The aim of designing and developing efficient algorithms that detect defects in materials was established. Signals measured with the combined methods of spectral analysis, signals intelligence (fuzzy logic, neural networks, genetic algorithms) have been processed and the existence of defects in materials and recognize geometric features are extracted.
