About me

I received dual B.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering (Communications) and Petroleum Engineering (Reservoir) in 2005, M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees of Electrical Engineering (Signal Processing) in 2007 and 2011, respectively, all from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. During my doctoral strudies, I spent a year from Nov. 2009 to Nov. 2010 as a visiting scholar at BIG, EPFL. 

I was an assitant professor from September 2013 to July 2018, then, an associate professor until May 2025, and is now a professor, all at the Electrical Engineering department of Sharif university of Technology. Prior to joining Sharif as a faculty member, I was a researcher at the Biomedical Imaging Group (BIG), EPFL, Switzerland, from April 2011 until September 2013. 

From July 2014 until July 2018, I was an associate editor for IEEE signal processing letters.  

I recieved a silver medal at the IMO2000.
