Mojtaba Mahsuli is a faculty member of the Department of Civil Engineering and a founding member of the Center for Infrastructure Sustainability and Resilience Research at Sharif University of Technology (SUT), Iran. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the bachelor’s and master’s programs at SUT and the PhD program at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada. During his PhD studies, he was the recipient of the Killam Scholarship, the most prestigious award at UBC, and was nominated for the Governor General of Canada’s Gold Medal. His research primarily focuses on structural reliability, infrastructure risk, community resilience, and structural health monitoring. He has been developing Rtx, an object-oriented, user-friendly computer program for reliability, risk, and resilience analysis with a comprehensive library of probabilistic models for various hazards, infrastructure systems, and consequences. He has been the recipient of several teaching and research excellence awards during his tenure as a faculty member at SUT.
